The 2026 beta
Apply for the beta.
Downballot is free while the beta runs and invite-only throughout. We are taking a limited number of organizations into this cohort, and we read every application.
Who this is for
Progressive and Democratic organizations, below the federal level.
That means campaigns for school board, city council, county office, judicial seats and state legislature; county and state party committees; and allied committees working those races.
It is not for federal campaigns, Republican or unaffiliated organizations, or commercial use. We check, and we would rather say so here than after you have filled in a form.
What happens next
No mystery, and no waiting in silence.
- We review every Monday
- Applications are read weekly rather than whenever somebody remembers. You will hear from us within a week, either way.
- What we look at
- Your organization's website and the office or jurisdiction you named. If something is borderline we will ask rather than guess.
- If you are accepted
- We create your organization, send you an invitation, and help you get your data in. Both apps are included.
- If you are not
- We will tell you, and keep your application on file for the next cohort. If your race or your organization changes, reply and we will look again.
- What it costs
- Nothing during the beta, with at least 90 days' notice before that changes and time to export either way.
