Privacy Policy
This document is being written and is not published yet.
We would rather leave this page honest than fill it with a template. Downballot holds information about people who never visited this site: the voters and supporters in your records. A policy covering that properly is not something to generate.
What we can tell you now, and what the finished document will say at greater length:
- Your organization's records belong to your organization. We do not sell them, rent them, or share them with anyone else.
- We do not use one organization's data to inform another's.
- You can export your data, and you can ask us to delete it.
- Consent and suppression records exist so that people who ask not to be contacted are not contacted, and those records are kept rather than overwritten.
In the meantime, the beta terms set out what we do with your data and what you are responsible for, and the security page describes how it is stored.
